Fish with creamy garlic lemon sauce | Easy non veg recipes

Fish is something I always crave for! Being a fish lover, I try out variety of dishes be it home cooked or from restaurant. An Indian cuisine has a specific combination of spices used to prepare any kind of dishes. The aroma and the taste of fish curry prepared with traditional spices is just phenomenal. 
But this time I thought of preparing it in a different style, after all its not bad experimenting stuff. So yes! I would be sharing the recipe that I tried on to prepare a thick creamy fish with lemon and butter sauce.

WHAT IS THIS DISH ABOUT

Fish cooked in lemon cream sauce is a dish that can be served as a starter well as main course. The only difference lies is the amount of gravy content in the dish. This dish is delicious, creamy and tangy and you dont need much ingredients to prepare this dish. This dish can be served with fried rice or pulao if served as a main course.






I have used bony river fish for this dish. However, any type of fish can be used based on preference. 
Fish has got too many nutritional benefits. It is a good source of protein, Omega-3 fatty acids and lots of vitamins. 

Let's take a look on how to make creamy fish with lemon butter sauce.

HOW DO WE PREPARE CREAMY GARLIC LEMON FISH 

Ingredients

° 3-4 pieces of fish on bone (boneless can also be used)
° 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
° 1 tsp salt
° 2 tbsp oil
° 1 tbsp butter
° 2 tbsp curd
° 1/2 tsp lemon juice
° Fresh cilantro
° 2 cloves garlic chopped
° Green chillies (optional)

Instructions:

1. Marinate the fish pieces in salt and turmeric. Keep it aside for 5 mins

2. Meanwhile, we will prepare the sauce. 

For the creamy lemon sauce : 

  •  Heat a pan, put it on low flame. Add butter and let it melt, then add the chopped garlic and fry for a minute. Add the lemon juice and stir for 1-2 mins. 
  • Add the curd, cook for 2 mins and turn off the flame. Keep the sauce aside.

3. Take a pan, heat oil and fry the marinated fishes until its cooked. Do not over fry it. Turn off the flame.

4. Now take the fish out of the pan. Pour the sauce over it. Mix it well so that the saucy flavour gets into the fish pieces properly. 
Either way, you can also heat the sauce and place the fish into it and cook for a minute.
Garnish with cilantro and chopped chillies and the dish is ready! 

Just have it as an appetizer or serve it with fried rice or quinoa rice. 


Note

1. You can use boneless fish for this dish.

2. Curd can be replaced by cream. 

3. If you do not wish to add butter, you can add few drops of oil.

4. If you want to prepare this dish with more gravy content, you can use more amount of curd.
